I have had the same experiences with trying to get parents to leave the room or to not have a parent teacher conference at the end of Meet The Teacher. What I did was send some something home in advance about the expectations of Meet The Teacher night. I think it helped. My school also had to make an announcement to get parents to leave. I really disliked Meet The Teacher night after teaching ALLL day. It is exhausting!
